Folios 181-182: John Thompson, HMS Brune, Plymouth Sound. Advising of his arrival, together with the Romulus and the Freya, from Lisbon, having on board 750 prisoners of war. On the reverse side he copies his orders from Admiral Berkeley, C-in-C at Lisbon, and says he also attaches a copy of his log from 7 April to 10 May [not now present]. Orders from George Cranfield Berkeley, Admiral of the Blue, dated 20 April 1812, are to take home the prisoners in the three ships, and also to give passage to any British officers who are going home, with their servants, victualling them as usual for land forces, and victualling the prisoners at two thirds allowance.
Folio 183: enclosure with folios 181-182. This is a list of vessels boarded by HMS Brune dated 25 May, so NB this document is unlikely to have been part of the original packet of papers in Cap T61. Two ships are listed the [Algesinias?] under Ferguson, bound for Guernsey, taken on 22 May, and the Neptune, master William Gibson, bound for London, taken on 24 May. Intelligence notes regarding French squadrons and captures of British ships are given for both ships.
