Description

Folios 70-71: John Tancock, HMS Mercury, Plymouth. Reporting his arrival from Lisbon with nine sail under convoy and the list and 48 French Officer Prisoners. Having parted company with HMS Abercrombie off the Lizard with convoy for Portsmouth. Enclosed copies of his orders, Log of his proceedings.

Folio 72: enclosure with folios 70-71. List of French Officer Prisoners as ordered by Admiral Berkeley. [50 names].

Folio 73: enclosure with folios 70-71. Copy of Orders from George Cranfield Berkeley. Dated 8 May 1811.

Folio 74: enclosure with folios 70-71. Copy orders from George Berkeley, Lisbon. Dated 8 May 1811. To receive 50 French Officer Prisoners of War for passage to England, victualling at two thirds allowance.

Folio 75: enclosure with folios 70-71. Copy orders from William Charles Fahie, HMS Abercrombie. Dated 10 May 1811. Senior Officer in command of the convoy from the River Tagus to England.

Folio 76: enclosure with folios 70-71. Copy of Orders from George Berkeley, Lisbon. Dated 10 May 1811. To land the French Officer Prisoners at Plymouth and wait directions.

Folio 77: enclosure with folios 70-71. Weekly return for Sick and Wounded on HMS Mercury between 22 May 1811 and the 29 May 1811.
