Folios 237-238: Charles George Rodney Phillott, HMS Primrose, Plymouth. Encloses a letter from Rollo Duncan, Midshipman on HMS Primrose, whom he finds totally deserving of promotion.
Folios 239-240: enclosure with folios 237-238.. Letter dated 13 December 1818 by Rollo Duncan, HMS Primrose, Hamoaze. Writes to their Lordships in the hope of receiving promotion, mentioning his ten years service, examination for Lieutenant passed in November 1815 and severe frost bite received while on duty.
