Folios 311-312: Henry Trollope, HMS Glatton, Nore. Acknowledging a letter dated 30 June 1795 informing him that Lieutenant Charles Hay the first of the Lieutenants for HMS Glatton. He Informs that four Lieutenant's:- Raynnor, Schomberg, Pringle and Bromwich are at present on Board and he is perfectly happy with them and they with the ship. He request these four remain.
Folios 313-314: enclosure with folios 311-312. Letter dated 3 July 1795 by Henry Trollope, HMS Glatton, Nore. Requests as a favour to him and Mr Raynor, Senior Lieutenant wishes to stay on HMS Glatton and suggest that Lieutenant Charles Hay be appointed to some other ship. They wait to prove they are superior to any 74 guns in our service and they are now only 89 short of complement. Hope to prove there selves against a Dutchman or a French vessel.
