Folios 309-310: Henry Trollope, HMS Glatton, Nore. Reporting that he understands from Admiral Charles Buckner , that toe proportion of Seaman, Ordinary Seaman and Landsman is not yet settled for HMS Glatton. He suggests HMS Glatton is nearest a fifty Gun Ship and her Masts taunter and as nearly as can be a fifty in every respect to her Rigging/Masts she may have the complement of Petty, Able and Ordinary Seaman as a fifty and the remainder as Landsman. Or they may be pleased to have the same proportion according to the number of our men as a fifty of Able and Ordinary Seaman. He ventures that fitted with her guns she will prove superior to a Seventy four in the enemy service.
