Captured ship: Boger of Flushing, otherwise Garden (commander Daniel Schevien, otherwise Scheuijen, Scaquen; owners Daniel Blonckebijle of Flushing, otherwise Daniell Blunckebyle, and partners).
History: a Dutch privateer (frigate, 80 tons, 8 guns, 70 men, built at Flushing), bound from Flushing on a cruise; taken [about 8 pm] on 26 October/5 November 1672 about 30 leagues out of the Channel [the chase began after about 8 am, about 40 leagues south-west of Scilly], by HMS Nightingale (Henry Clarke commanding) and brought into Plymouth on 9/19 November 1672.
