Description

Captured ship: Arms of Amsterdam (master unknown), or Welcome of London (master James Anguish, owners James Littleton and others).

Capture history: a Dutch merchant ship (galliot hoy); taken before 5 September 1673, by the privateer Resolution (Thomas Wise commanding), and brought into Leith, Scotland.

Court Papers numbered CP 1-3:-

  • [CP 1]: inventory of the ship as Welcome, 5 September 1673;
  • [CP 2]: appraisement of the ship, 30 April 1674;
  • [CP 3]: condemnation, 10 April 1674.
