Crime: Receiving stolen goods.
Initial sentence: Transportation for 14 years.
Gaoler's Report: Character not known.
Outcome: Answered May 1849. Nil.
Petitions and letters: Petition from Thomas Hennin, merchant, and 15 others including jurymen, on behalf of the prisoner in Warwick gaol. She is a mother of four, stated to be of good character and again pregnant. Report sought from the Recorder of Birmingham and provided by two investigating magistrates who undermine the petition and assert many of the signatories were ignorant of the contents and now wish to withdraw. Letters enclosed from the original thief, a runaway girl, and her brother, to their parents (the prosecutors) blaming Logan for their predicament.
