Details of accident: He was a 3rd Class Passenger by the 5:40 PM train from Leeds. On arriving at Harrogate, he got out of the train and when it started again he ran after it outside of the covered part of the platform and here coming in contact with another person he was knocked down by the shock and fell towards the edge of the platform and his coat being caught by one of the carriage steps he was drawn between the carriages and some of them passed over his body. He died the same night.
