Folios 283-284: Joseph Short, [Regulating Officer], Lynn [Kings Lynn]. Covering letter for the returned enclosed [not present] and acquaint them that James Forest was the real Mate of the Society, he being enrolled as such by him. He will therefore discharge him on his being an Able Seaman. He acknowledge receipt of their order to take Lieutenant Seymor's under his Command and to acquaint them that on a suppersition of his having arrived at Wells [Wells-next-the-Sea], he went there yesterday to arrange matters with him, but his not having come down he mustered Lieutenant Thomas Chambers gang and directed him to have his accounts closed so as to be ready to give him the Rendezvous in charge of Lieutenant Seymors [John Seymour] on his arrival.
