Folios 171-172: James Masters, HMS Meteor, Woolwich. Says Heppel is over fifty years old and the exertion beyond him due to his injury. Requests they comply.
Folio 173: enclosed in folios 171-172. Letter dated 15 February 1804 by Lieutenant William Heppel, HMS Meteor. Has severely hurt left leg from his command of HMS Wasp gun vessel. Asks to be replaced.
