Folios 150-151: George Reynolds, Regulating Captain, Deal. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant John Walker complaining of having been insulted by the crew of the hired cutter the Nile, he has detained the man mentioned in the letter.
Folios 152-153: enclosed with folios 150-151. Letter from Lieutenant John Walker, the Impress Service, Dover, to Regulating Captain George Reynolds, Deal, 22 August 1806. Reports that Lieutenant Barnes, commander of the hired cutter Active, complained to him that he had lost six crewmen. When Lieutenant Walker went looking for them, he met the crew of the hired cutter Nile, six of whom turned out to belong to the Active. He detained one man who was particularly abusive to him, asks for directions how to deal with him.
