Folios 144-145: George Reynolds, Regulating Captain, Deal. Reports that Thomas Perkins was impressed by Lieutenant Hugh Anderson from the West Indiaman the Sir Godfrey Webster, having been found concealed in the hold. Perkins says he ran away to sea from his Master, a Shipwright at [Black. . . ?]. As he was apprenticed ashore, rather than at sea, thought him subject to impressment and ordered him to be sent aboard HMS Glatton.
Folio 146: enclosed with folios 144-145. Letter from Thomas Ferguson, 3 George Street, Lombard Street, to B Tucker, 4 July 1806. Received the Admiralty's request to state when and by whom Thomas Perkins was impressed before being sent aboard HMS Glatton. Reports he was impressed by the commander of the Deal Impress boat on June 24 and regulated by the Press Master at Deal.
Folios 148-149: enclosed with folios 144-145. Letter from Thomas Ferguson, 3 George Street, Lombard Street, to B Tucker, 26 June 1806. Encloses [not present] the indenture of Thomas Perkins, apprentice Shipwright, who in February engaged himself for sea service. Reports that Perkins was impressed the previous day and sent aboard HMS Glatton in the Downs. Requests his discharge.
