Folios 127-128: William Redmon, John Street, East Lane, Kent Road. Asks if he can be admitted to the new Greenwich establishment after 8 years as a Midshipman, 20 as a Lieutenant and 27 as a Commander. Lists some of his service including with Admiral Sir Edward Hawke and M. Conflans, the raising of the siege of Quebec, the capture of Martinico [Martinique] and Havannah [Havana], as First Lieutenant of HMS Orpheus during the American war and the burning of that ship in Rhode Island to prevent her falling into the hands of the enemy. Is now 70 years old and an invalid.
