Description

Folio: 450. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: Henry de Biltopthorp and Maud, daughter of Osbert the clerk of Wellethon [Welton], his wife.

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land in the territory of Wellethon [Welton] on the west side of the vill lying between the land of William le Rus and Hugh Fossard on the east side and the land of William son of Hamo on the west side, Whose sides abut towards the south upon Philip's land and towards the north upon the way which leads to Ludam [Louth], and whatever Henry and Maud had there. Fully and entirely without any reservation with all appurtenances, liberties, easements within the vill and outside, with free entry and exit. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Henry and Maud in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Henry and Maud and their heirs freely and quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Henry and Maud and their heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, customs, suits of court and demands belonging to this land.
