Description

Folio: 351. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Nicholas Neucumen of Salfledby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle, son of Odo Galle of Salfledby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One toft, surrounded by a ditch, lying in Salfledby [Saltfleetby] between the toft of Robert Dupping and the toft of Wice, and it abuts upon Neudikegate, namely that toft which Philip previously had from William for a term. To hold to Philip and his heirs of William and his heirs in fee and inheritance freely, quietly and peacefully. William has also quitclaimed forever to Philip and his heirs 6d of rent which Philip was accustomed to pay to William yearly, for lands which he bought from him in the parish of St Clement between Philip's lands on both sides, the limit of which abuts upon Neudikegate. Paying yearly to William and his heirs, both for that toft and for this remise 1d at Michaelmas for all secular service, suits of court and exaction.
