First party: John the cook of Salfletebi [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Roger, vicar of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke].
Place or subject: Three acres, three perches and one selion of arable land lying in John's croft and in the toft in Salfleteby [Saltfleetby], one acre of which lies between John's land next on the west side and the land of Walter le Norne next on the east side, and it abuts towards the south upon the land of Harald son of John beyond the way called Saltergate and towards the north upon John's land. And two acres and three perches lie together between the land of Robert de Herthebi [Hareby] on the east side and John's land on the west side, and they abut upon the Grist towards the north and towards the south upon those two acres. To hold to John, his heirs or assigns, excepting religious men, of John and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to John and his heirs 4d at Easter for all secular service, custom, exaction, suit of court and demand.
