Folios 165-167. Prince of Waldeck to the King from the camp at Perwis. Reports nothing very considerable has happened since his last letter; it is hard to tell the strength of the enemy forces. New troops are coming to Waldeck from time to time, he is waiting on the English cavalry and on Tuesday the infantry battalions will arrive; he aims to march the following Monday to take up a post between Genappe and Giblon. The troops from Zell and Wolfenbuttel are on his side and he will have them come to Mastricht to have them on hand. He does not yet have further news from Bonn. The Duke of Lorraine had wished for the Elector of Brandenburg to move towards Mosselle to facilitate the siege of the Mont Royal, but the Elector claims to be coming up the Meuse from the other side to join Waldeck. Waldeck is doing what he can to support the Marquis of Gastanaga, sending him three infrantry Regiments from those that were in Keyserswerth. An officer coming from Coblenz assures him that the provisions are such that they have already been without bread for three days.
