Papers:

  • "Exercise Sur L'attaque et la defence des fortifications." (Ecole du Genie, Mezieres, 1701 (?), part 2, sheet 2-. Dated 1701 [?]. MS. copy? 1 sheet Of the twelve other maps and plans forming part of, but removed from, the Rodney Papers, ten were sent to the Colonial Office with many others in 1907-1908. Of these ten, nine, being maps of French Guiana (Board of Trade Maps, Case 40, No. 17B), are said to be kept with British Guiana Maps in Room 91 (Register of Maps received from Public Record Office in 1907-8 showing re-numbering in Colonial Office Map Catalogue, TS. f`7') while the tenth (Case 36 No. 24B) is said to be catalogued under the section West Indies and Central America as No. 19 (Register, cit, f `2': Catalogue of the Maps, Plans and Charts in the Library of the Colonial Office, 1910, ad loc.) The two remaining sheets being plans of Cherbourg (Case 38 Nos. 29A and 29B), are bound up as Nos 11 and 15 in a volume of State Paper Office (Board of Trade) Maps and Plans (Maps 35) preserved in the Library of the Public Record Office.
  • Rules To be observed by that Part of His Majesty's Fleet Under the Command of Rear-Admiral Rodney, in Landing and Re-Embarking the Troops. Dated [1759-1762]. 2 copies. Printed.
  • Sailing and Fighting Instructions for His Majesty's Fleet, with MS. notes and diagrams. Dated [1780-1781]. Printed. 2 copies. The one copy used by the Secretary's Office, Sandwich, the other by Admiral Rodney or captain Walter Young.
  • Signals and Instructions in Addition to the General Printed Sailing and Fighting Instructions, with MS. notes. Dated [1780-1781]. 2 copies. Printed. One copy used by Admiral Rodney or Captain Walter Young.
  • Letters from Sir George Brydges now Lord Rodney, to His Majesty's Ministers, etc, relative to the Capture of St. Eustatius, and its Dependencies; and Shewing the State of the War in the West Indies, at that Period. Dated [after 1782]. 2 copies. Printed. One copy belonging to the Rt. Hon. Thomas Harley, with his bookplate. A third copy, apparently Lord Rodney's own, will be found in PRO 30/20/25.
  • J. Ramsden, Description of an Engine for Dividing Strait Lines on Mathematical Instruments. (Published by order of the Commissioners of Longitude.) (London, 1779.). Dated 1779.
  • General Tables of the Moon's Distances from the Sun and Ten Principal Fixt Stars, Useful for Finding the Longitude at Sea or Land. (Published by order of the Commissioners of Longitude.) (London, 1787). Dated 1787.
  • (Maritime School, Chelsea) Prospectus with Rules and Regulations, names of the Committee, etc. With MS. notes and amendments. Dated [1784]. Printed Interleaved. The title page is missing.
  • Proceedings at the India House, relative to Warren Hastings, Esq; Governor General of Bengal, From the 29th of May, to the 1st of November, 1782. Dated [? 1782 Nov]. Printed.
  • Copy of the Proceedings relative to the sending of Four of His Majesty's Regiments to India, with the Cases and Opinions of Counsel thereupon. (Sessional Papers). Dated 1788.
  • Minutes of the Evidence Taken at the Trial of Warren Hastings Esquire, Late Governor General of Bengal, At the Bar of the House of Lords, in Westminster Hall (House of Lords, Sessional Papers?). Dated 1788.
