Part 1, Folios 117-118. Letter dated at Windsor from the Duke of York to the Prince of Orange. In light of what the Prince wrote in his letter of 23 [New Style] August about a general cessation of hostilities, the King has sent orders to his Plenipotentiary at Nijmegen to propose it but the Duke doubts the French, knowing the advantage they have, will unless they have more of a mind to peace than he believes.
