Captured ship: Charity of London (master James Winsor).
Capture history: a Dutch or English merchant ship (200 tons, formerly an English ship taken by the Dutch in the previous war, the master received the ship at Amsterdam from James Therry about 16 months before), now bound from Virginia and Maryland to England or Amsterdam, laden with tobacco; seized in early July 1672 at Falmouth.
