Folios 65-66: Thomas Cochrane, HMS Arab, Downes. Detailing the circumstance of the two collisons between Arab and the HMS Abundance store ship and HMS Bloodhound gunship possibly caused by Arab anchoring too near. He has written to Lord Keith to forward his application for the officers involved to be court martialed. He encloses his letter to Lord Keith and Keith's answer. He details what happened and justifies his application for the court martial.
Folios 67-68: enclosure with folios 65-66. Letter dated 20 January 1804 by Lord Keith, HMS Monarch off Ramsgate, to Thomas Cochrane. Informing him that he does not think it is the right moment for the officers on HMS Arab and the officers of the other ships to be court martialed.
Folios 69-70: enclosure with folios 65-66. Letter dated 24 January 1804 by Thomas Cochrane, HMS Arab, Downs, to Lord Keith. Requesting that Keith forwards his application for the court martials to Lords Commisioners of the Admiralty.
