Description

Captured ship: Two Sisters or Deux Soeurs of Nantes (master René de Salles).

History: a French merchant ship (130 tons) bound from Nantes to Galway, laden with salt, brandy and tobacco that 'all belonged to French and Irish men'; taken on 30 September / 10 October 1690 off the coast of Ireland by HMS St Albans (Richard Fitzpatrick commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
