Folios 87-136. Extract of a letter from Sir William Howe to John Robinson, dated on 5 April 1777, concerning the rum contract and Messrs Mure, Son and Atkinson. Mentions the high price of Jamaican rum, compared top other islands. Folio 89. Extract of a letter from Mr [Daniel] Wier to Robinson, dated at New York on 20 May 1777. Folio 90-91. Mure and Company to the Treasury Commissioners, dated at London 24 June 1777. Encloses contract [not filed here] with the army for delivering 350,000 gallons of Jamaican rum to the armed forces, involving investment of £90,000 Sterling. Folio 92-93. Extract of Mure and Company to Sir Wm [William] Howe, dated at London on 14 January 1777. Their agent Mr Laring has procured supplies in Jamaica. Folio 94-95. Extract of Mure and Company to their agent in New York Jos [Joshua] Laring junior, dated at London on 14 January 1777. Folio 96-97. Agreement [contract] to supply rum, dated on 1 April 1777, between Commissary General Daniel Chamier and Laring, and witnessed by Howe. Folio 98-100. Mure and Company to the Treasury Commissioners, dated at London on 23 July 1777, concerning price increases over last year. Folio 101.
