Folios 141-147. Folios 141-142. Letter dated at the Old Bailey from J [James] Adair, Recorder of London, to Lord Hillsborough that because of some doubt whether the number of convicts would make it necessary for the King to receive a report on Monday he is enclosing, for the King's information the items listed in folios 144 -147 following. He asks 'whether, in the peculiar circumstances of the present sessions, whenever the report is made, the time and place of execution which are usually left to me, may not be proper subjects of his Majesty's consideration'. Folio 143. List of names of the capitally convicted. Those marked X are rioters of whom the three marked XX are recommended by the jury for mercy. William Lawrence X; Richard Roberts XX; Thomas Taplin X; William Brown X; Anne Barnes; William Price; George Kennedy XX; William Macdonald X; John Jones; James Henry X; George Banton XX; Elizabeth Breese; William Pateman X; Elizabeth Cox; Christopher Plumley alias John Williams. Folio 144. A list of those convicted and their offences. The names are the same as in the foregoing list with the addition of Dennis Reardon. Folio 145. List of capital convicts to be reported to His Majesty in Council. 22 names being the same as in folio 144 with the addition of Richard Forster, John Gray, Edward Dennis, Mary Roberts, Charlotte Gardiner, Enoch Flemming and John Morris. Folios 146-148. List of capital convicts to be reported to His Majesty in Council on Wednesday 5 July 1780. The list comprises four columns namely convict names; crimes; substance of the petition; by whom recommended. 15 names.
