Letter dated at the Old Bailey from J [James] Adair, Recorder of London, to Lord Hillsborough that because of some doubt whether the number of convicts would make it necessary for the King to receive a report on Monday he is enclosing, for the King's information the items listed in folios 144 -147 following. He asks 'whether, in the peculiar circumstances of the present sessions, whenever the report is made, the time and place of execution which are usually left to me, may not be proper subjects of his Majesty's consideration'. Folio 143. List of names of the capitally convicted. Those marked X are rioters of whom the three marked XX are recommended by the jury for mercy.
