Captured ship: St Jacob of Morlaix (master James Autret).
History: a French merchant ship (40 tons) bound from Le Havre to Morlaix, laden with burr stones, plaster and glass; taken on 3/13 December 1696 off the coast of Normandy by the privateer Carteret Galley (Daniel Janverin commanding), and brought into Jersey.
