Captured ship: Gift of God or Le Don de Dieu of St Malo (master Gilles Ruanle or Ruaule).
History: a French merchant ship (50 tons) bound from Morlaix to Rouen, laden with sugar; taken on 26 May / 5 June 1691 off Alderney by the privateer Swallow (John Tupper commanding), and brought into Southampton.
