Description

Captured ship: St François or St Francis of St Malo (master unknown).

History: a French merchant ship (80 tons, abandoned by her crew) bound in convoy from Dieppe to St Malo, laden with bottles and tobacco; taken on 22 April / 2 May 1690 off Alderney by the privateer Hare (Clement Loumer commanding) and brought into Guernsey.
