Letter dated at Sandbeck [Yorkshire] from the Earl of Scarborough [Richard Lumley-Saunderson] to [?Lord Rochford] requesting on behalf of the College of Heralds that they be supplied with a set of the Journals of both the Lords and Commons. Folio171. Letter to Lord Scarborough in reply that the King having confined his donation of copies of the Journals to the universities and law courts 'apprehends that his compliance with regard no one would give room to too many pretensions'. Draft.
