Creative and Cultural Skills was founded in 2004 and served as one of the Sector Skills Councils. Its focus was on creative and cultural industries, including craft, cultural heritage, design, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts. It supported the creative sector, particularly apprenticeships in the sector and career guidance, as well as in setting standards to ensure production of high-quality work in the creative industry.
Creative and Cultural Skills shut down in 2024 due to lack of funding.
