Description

Captured ship: Arms of Danzig or Wapen Van Danzig (Arms of Danzig) (master Willem Dook).

History: a Danzig ship (320 tons, carrying Dutch prisoners of war), bound from St Martin, France to Danzig, laden with salt, tobacco, brandy and vinegar; taken on 8/18 August 1689 off Ushant by the Dutch privateer Waeckende Craen (Cornelius Brackel commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
