History: an English merchant ship (350 tons), bound from Virginia, America to London, laden with tobacco; taken 70 leagues west of Ushant during January 1694/5 by three French privateers from St Malo, retaken eight days later off the Lizard by HMS Foresight (John Manston commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
