Folio 71B: Telegram from C-in-C Home Fleets to Captain (S) Tees and Blyth, No.647, 2 February 1917. Extension from eastern end to (co-ordinates given) E. Areas north of line to be M & O and south of line to be N & P. Five submarines to work as follows: one in D & F, one in H & L, one in G & K, one in Q & R and one in N & P. One submarine always on patrol either side of (co-ordinates given) E. Submarines working in Q & R should occasionally move down to Horns Reef.
Folio 72: Extracts from the reports of H.M. submarines J 4, and J5 (Lieutenant Commander Edward Courtney Boyle), forwarded by Captain (S) Blyth, Stanley Lyte Willis, HMS Titania, on 16 February 1917. Left Blyth 10 February 1917, J4 for N.P. and J5 to area Z. J4 sighted the Dutch steamer Krackatoa and J5 sighted a German submarine.
Folio 73: Extracts from the report of H.M. submarine J 1 (Lieutenant Commander Robert Bertram Ramsay) on patrol in areas N and P between 15-21 February 1917, forwarded by Captain (S) Blyth, Stanley Lyte Willis, HMS Titania, on 21 February 1917. On 20 Feb. sighted an enemy submarines at 56¢ª58¡¯N 5¢ª33¡¯E and on 21 Feb. one 5 miles from Coquet Light.
