Details of accident: Hooper was engaged on a 'Pick up' train shunting wagon in the Hengoed Exchange siding and to save himself walking a short distance sat on the buffer of the leading wagon. In getting off before the train stopped, he slipped and fell across the rail, the wheels of the wagon crushing his leg.
