The International Blood Group Reference Laboratory (IBGRL) consists of several NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) laboratories in Bristol. Prior to the formation of NHSBT, the IBGRL was a National Blood Service laboratory. The IBGRL maintains a database of donors with rare blood types and provides specialist diagnostic services for NHSBT.
