The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission was established in November 2008 as the Non-Departmental Public Body responsible for the child maintenance system in Great Britain; it was accountable to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. The Commission was abolished on 30 July 2012 and its functions were incorporated into the Department for Work and Pensions.
