Folios 177-178.
The petition of Peter de la Brissoniere and Peter Gramier de Fraisinet for half pay in respect of thirty years' service to the crown. They served in the 'First War' [Nine Years War, War of the Grand Alliance] until the Peace of Ryswick [in 1697]; were made captains in the Duke of Schomberg's Regiment of Dragoons in 1703; and, from 1706, served in Count Paulen's Regiment of Foot. Endorsed with the report of [Justice] Geo [George] Treby, dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex] on 11 August 1719, advising that half pay could only be authorised, if at all, on the 'establishment of Ireland', and quoting at length from the report of the Board of General Officers at the Horse Guards. Mentions the Marquis de Guiscard raising French regiments, one commanded by Earl Rivers.
