Envelope, typed 'Pendre to Dolgoch, six views taken in [May] 1939 by W E Hayward (with film negatives)', containing six postcards, monochrome photographic images, [Talyllyn Railway], typed notes on reverse:
1) 9 cm x 14 cm, 'Towyn [Pendre] looking to Wharf, train coming has just left the latter'.
2) 9 cm x 14 cm, 'Towyn [Pendre] looking up line to Rhydronen, engine and carriage sheds on right, station on left'.
3) 14 cm x 9 cm, Towyn [Pendre], close up view of points showing on left of 2'.
4) 9 cm x 14 cm, 'View taken whilst riding on a slate wagon and looking rearwards, train is nearing Rhydronen'.
5) 9 cm x 14 cm, 'Train in Rhydronen station, slate wagon next to the coach was that from which 4 was taken'.
6) 14 cm x 9 cm, 'View looking along and over the quite extensive viaduct on the line just before Dolgoch station'.
7) Folder containing nine negatives: six, 6 cm x 9 cm, images as above; two, 6 cm x 9 cm, [poorly exposed views of locomotive outside Pendre shed, and station approach at Rhydronen]; one negative 4 cm x 7 cm, [slate exchange yards at Towyn].
