Description

Envelope typed 'Clogwyn', second of two mounted on reverse of item 28, containing seven photographic images of Snowdon Mountain Tramroad and Snowdon Mountain Railway:

1) Colour tinted postcard by Pictorial Stationery Company 'Peacock' Series No P5494, with printed caption on face, Clogwyn station looking up mountain [image c.1900], 8cm x 14cm.

2) Monochrome postcard, with printed caption on face, up-mountain train pushed by locomotive No 5 'Moel Siabod', in station awaiting approaching down mountain train [image c. 1910], 9cm x 14cm.

3) Monochrome postcard by Valentine, with printed caption on face, up-mountain train pushed by locomotive No 4 'Snowdon', in station awaiting approaching down mountain train [image c. 1910], 8cm x 13cm.

4) Colour tinted postcard, 'Baur's series', No 1178, same image as 3, 9cm x 14cm.

5) Monochrome postcard by Snowdon Mountain Railway, with printed caption on face and 'Summit of Snowdon'. stamp on reverse, same image as 3, 9cm x 14cm.

6) Monochrome photograph with manuscript caption on reverse, up-mountain train pushed by locomotive No 6 ['Sir Harmood'], in station awaiting approaching down mountain train headed by No 8 ['Eryri'], by H C Casserley 30 August 1926, 9cm x 14cm.

7) Monochrome postcard by The Photochrom Company, No 67069, with printed title on face, snow clearing at Halfway Halt [image c.1930], 8cm x 13cm.
