Captured ship: Hope (master John Robinson).
Nationality: Danish.
History: bound from Surinam to St Thomas, laden with coffee and cotton (with three slaves Bob, Sam and Anthony in the crew); taken on 24 December 1795 by HMS Bulldog (John Hop commanding), and brought into Tortola
