Mark PAUL alias Marks PAUL: British. PAUL served in the Turkish army in the First World War. While acting as a German agent, he was arrested by the authorities in Breslau in 1924 on a charge of espionage. Released early he found his way to England and went into business. MI5 had some difficulty deciding whether he represented a security threat or should even be prosecuted as an enemy combatant
