Captured ship: Juffrouw Judith Jacoba (master Jan Seylaer) [second capture].
History: a Dutch merchant ship (70 tons, guns, men), bound from Newcastle upon Tyne via Rotterdam to Rochefort, laden with lead and coals; on this route and with the same cargo, the ship had already been captured a few months earlier and has then been restored (see HCA32/120/21). It was taken on 21 July/1 August 1747 near Ushant by the privateer Guernsey (Daniel Perchard commanding) which sailed under French colours, and brought into Guernsey.
