Captured ship: St Catherine (master Louis Jouvin).
History: a French merchant ship, bound from Smyrna, laden with cotton, cotton wool, wool and wax; seized on 27 April 1744 while lying at quarantine in Leghorn harbour by HMS Revenge (George Berkeley commanding).
