Captured ship: Fortune of Hamburg, master Dirick Deters.
History: bound from Martinique to Hamburg (having gone out via Madeira), laden with tobacco, sugar, ginger and cotton, and with 24 letters for delivery; taken on 6 June 1667 near Portland by HMS Eaglet ketch and brought into Southampton.
Documents: examinations; interrogatories. See CSPD 1677 p 211 (SP 29/206 no 76) for a statement by the master of affairs in the West Indies: French taking Montserrat; Willoughby at St Kitts etc, dated 19 June at Portsmouth
