Description

Prisoner name: William Seagull.

Prisoner age: 55.

Prisoner occupation: Former sailor, cook and out pensioner of Royal Hospital, Greenwich.

Court and date of trial: Kent Winter Assizes, December 1832.

Crime: Housebreaking.

Initial sentence: [Death], commuted to transportation for life.

Gaoler's report: Character bad. Imprisoned three times for misdemeanours.

Annotated (Outcome): Nil. Send abroad.

Petitioner(s): The prisoner, undersigned by Rosanna Cleave, the prosecutrix.

Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Naval service; prosecutrix recommends mercy.
