6801. Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 2. Warrant to pay Captain John Kerr, paymaster to the 1st American Regiment or Queen's Rangers, the sum of £1,754 2s 7¼d sterling. Being pay for the said regiment from 25 October to 24 December 1782, both days included as per the annexed account. From which £60 17s 11½d sterling to be detained, being stoppage from the pay of the commissioned officers. Also £156 19s 2d sterling being for 15,068 rations of provisions issued, and £4 12s 4d sterling for stoppages due the hospital at New York.
