6236. Major-General James Paterson to Carleton. Halifax. The stores and things requested were sent the 16th instant under convoy of the 'Renown' and three frigates. Will relieve the Brunswick troops at Penobscot when the season permits, sends copy of last letter from Campbell and transmits a copy of Leslie's letter. Three ordnance ships with companies of the 82nd Regiment are arrived, and that the arrival of refugees will distress them greatly. Submits the enclosed letter from Colonel Hatzfeld respecting bat and forage money and sends a memorial from Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant Small.
