Description

6228. Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Number 261. Warrant to pay Lieutenant George Dunlop, adjutant, and Mr Thomas Tilt, quartermaster to the British Light Infantry of the 80th Regiment, prisoners of war in Lancaster [Pennsylvania], the sum of £107 9s 4d sterling. Being 248 days pay due to them from 20 October 1781 to 24 June 1782 inclusive, as per the annexed account.
