Folios 550-551.
To: William Ranger, Superintending Inspector, The General Board of Health.
From: William Stevens Jnr, Clerk (pro tem) to the Local Board of Health, Hitchin [Hertfordshire].
Subject Matter: Letter enclosing Mr Oswald Foster's account in relation to the preliminary inquiry at Hitchin [not included in item], 'amounting to £4 12s 0d'. Stevens also calls attention to the accounts he sent Ranger on the 14 March 1850. He presumes that it is necessary that they should be submitted to the Local Board, which he says he will do upon the return of the same.
