Affidavit on behalf of Sir Archibald Primrose, sworn by William Baird, servant to Lord Kilmarnock, stating that Sir Archibald was taken prisoner to Callendar House [Falkirk, Stirlingshire], by a party of horse of the [Jacobite] Highland Army commanded by Major Brand, which had orders to burn Sir Archibald's house if he resisted. Says he never held office under the rebels. Dated at Carlisle [Cumberland].
